Data deletion

You can disconnect any account from Placit, or ask us to delete everything we hold about you, at any time.
1. Disconnect an account inside Placit
- Open Placit and go to Settings.
- Choose Connected accounts.
- Tap Disconnect next to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Google.
Placit deletes the access token for that account straight away and can no longer read from or post to it.
2. Remove Placit from your platform settings
Instagram and Facebook (Meta). In Facebook, go to Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Apps and websites (or Business integrations for Pages). Find Placit and choose Remove. In Instagram, go to Settings, then Website permissions or Apps and websites, find Placit and choose Remove.
TikTok. In TikTok, go to Profile, then Settings and privacy, then Security and permissions, then Apps and services permissions. Find Placit and choose Remove access.
Google. Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, find Placit and choose Remove access.
3. Ask us to delete everything
Email hello@placit.ai with the subject Delete my data from the email address linked to your Placit account or waitlist sign-up.
We will delete your account, photos, captions, learned style notes, post history, access tokens and waitlist details within 30 days, and email you to confirm when it's done.
Posts already published to your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Google accounts stay on those platforms. You can remove them there.
